“The British are coming!” to ICON Park

Entertainment complex prepares for Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips opening with new playlist, lighting of The Wheel

In honor of Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips at ICON Park opening August 9, the entertainment complex is celebrating the United Kingdom this week.

From August 9 to 15, there will be an invasion of Great Britain’s most popular songs by artists such as the Beatles, Ed Sheeran, The Rolling Stones, Adele and more.  Guests can listen to their songs as they experience ICON Park’s signature attraction, The Wheel.

Guests also have the option to be their own DJ by connecting their phone to the private capsules’ Bose speakers using The Wheel’s new state of the art Bluetooth system.

In addition to the specially curated playlist, the 400-foot observation wheel will be lit up in red, white and blue to represent the Union Jack, paying homage to Great Britain.

“I like Gordon Ramsay and his team because they work hard, care a lot about quality and have fun,” said Chris Jaskiewicz, ICON Park president and CEO. “They are a great fit at ICON Park.”

Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips is the first restaurant created by world-class chef and television star Gordon Ramsay on the East Coast. This fast-casual concept serving the perfect English meal transports guests to a seaside fish and chips shop on the British coast. Along with fried favorites, the restaurant serves the best British deserts such as Gordon’s signature Sticky Toffee Pudding and Biscoff shakes.

ICON Park is at the center of the International Drive Resort Area and Orlando Entertainment District. With free parking and conveniently located near I-4, Universal Boulevard and the Beachline, this premiere entertainment complex is easy to access for any Central Florida resident or Orlando tourist.
