If you follow me on social media, you know that in the past year I "cleaned up" my life -- removing chemicals and toxins from my home as much as possible. So I was super excited recently when I was sent two samples from AspenClean to try out at home: the AspenClean Lavender Laundry Detergent Pods and AspenClean Eco-friendly Dishwasher Pods.
Let me back up and tell you a little about the brand first. AspenClean was born out of a parent’s journey to find a safe and effective alternative to chemical-based cleaning product. I first tried the AspenClean Lavender Laundry Pods, which have a touch of lavender essential oil. The scent was light and not at all overwhelming. On smaller loads I used one pod, and on larger loads I used two pods. The pods were effective in removing grease, grime, stains, and dirt from my our laundry. The pods were as effective as other laundry detergents I have used in the past, and I loved knowing that these used eco-friendly ingredients.

Next I tested the AspenClean Eco-friendly Dishwasher Pods. I won't lie, I was skeptical at first. I have used other non toxic, clean dishwashing products and they never quite worked well for me. However, these pods were fantastic at cutting grease and grime. I popped one in to the dispenser and ran the dishwasher on the normal setting. My dishes came out clean and sparkling -- and no spots.
