Travelers to Experience Unique Offerings, Exceptional Service, and a Commitment to Clean

Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center is pleased to announce it will be re-opening its doors to the public on Thursday, June 25th, 2020. With the summer season quickly approaching, the resort will offer leisure travelers a close summer escape featuring a sprawling outdoor water park, acres of airy indoor atrium gardens, and family-friendly activities.

“The summer travel season is quickly approaching, and Gaylord Palms is reopening to visitors who are anxious to get out and celebrate summer,” said General Manager Johann Krieger. “We are excited to offer guests a fun summer getaway where they can enjoy the resort’s amenities, as well aquatic adventures including our zero-entry pool, multi-level treehouse playground, drop slide and racing slides at Everglades-inspired Cypress Springs Water Park,” he added.

In accordance with Marriott’s “Commitment to Clean” standards and response to the new normal, the resort will provide new cleaning technology, hospital-grade disinfectants, attendants dedicated to sanitizing frequently throughout the day, new social distancing practices, and hundreds of enhanced cleaning protocols to take care of guests while they enjoy the resort’s amenities.

Additionally, Gaylord Palms’ ownership group, Ryman Hospitality Properties, Inc. (NYSE:RHP) recently announced that it has selected Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC), a leader in medical research, as its official wellness advisor. These combined efforts will further support the multi-phased health and sanitation re-opening plans, procedures, and staff training at Gaylord Palms.

Throughout the summer season, visitors of Gaylord Palms can enjoy the resort’s outdoor pool complex, Cypress Springs Water Park, featuring a zero-entry swimming pool, giant water playhouse, a drop slide, and multiple winding waterslides. In addition to spaced seating, guests can rent a private cabana including a flat-screen television, refrigerator, and dedicated pool server. Inside the resort’s spacious atriums, summer activities providing social distancing will be hosted including a self-guided scavenger hunt, a light show, and more.
